I lost and found this shot of Demany Smith from California
Canoe and
Kayak. Demany and his lovely wife Kate spent some time hanging out with
us.
It was crazy busy for me at this time, closing the shop, meeting with
Dave
Olson, and getting ready for Australia. The hole was flooded out the entire
time so we only got to paddle at the falls, and we also hit the Ocoee
from
the top to bottom one day too. Add to the flooded conditions, it was bitter
cold (for Rock Island)as well. I wish he could have been there the week
before, or just about any other time when he would have gotten the full
Rock
Island Experience. Here is a photo of him running the Falls. Kate did
a
bunch of runs down the falls as well having some great lines.
