The Ottawa River “582” team

There is nothing like the Ottawa River for developing
incredible
freestyle kayakers and the "582" paddlers have been producing
incredible
results for years. "582" is the phone number prefix for Beachburg,
Ontario,
a town of less than a thousand people. It is also the town closest to
the
put-in of the Ottawa River. Incredible boaters like 1997 World Champions
Ken Whiting, and Nicole Whiting are the original famous 582 folks. Today
we
have Dave, Billy, Joel, Katie, Ruth, and Sharky, all Canadian team members,
and all 582 paddlers, impressive!
