Jackson Kayak Race Car is In Action by Will Richardson | Jul 5, 2005 | Whitewater | 0 comments July 5, 2005 Hey mate, well we have a race car program here at Camp Arrowhead and with all the help you guys have given us we thought that we would go ahead and ‘pimp our ride’ to become the Jackson Kayak race car. It’s a Limited Sportsman class car with a high performance Chevrolet 350 (5.7 ltr) Crate engine that came from Andy Petree, former crew chief to Dale Earnheart. It’s so powerful that we spun it out on our warm up circuit. It was definitely the best looking car on the track, and managed somehow to pull off a successful 9th overall. Since we now have three race cars, we thought that a celebrity driver would be cool. Know any three time world champion that would want to get down and dirty and race at a good ol South Carolina Dirt track? Just remember to go left!! So we just got back from a paddling expedition taking in some awesome rivers around the South East. The most fun of which was following your lead this year and hitting up the Tellico. There was no better feeling than seeing these kids charge down baby falls and some of the older kids take on the river right section of Bald River Falls (20 feet of fun). The adrenalin rush they got was good for the rest of the week. The 4 fun and fun took this on with ease. Check out the pictures. jez (by the way EJ if you want to come race one of our race cars called blueberry pie we are racing on the 16th and 30th of July. Come on down mate) Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
