On Tuesday, I had the opportunity to take our Sr. Keeners
(the older students who work part-time to pay for their summer) to Lachine
for a day of big-wave action! It was my first time to Lachine this season,
so I was psyched. The levels were primo for huge air and everyone went
big. I was working pan-ams and air screws, while Team JK paddler Nick
Troutman was working clean blunts and pistol flips (that kid is ROCKING
THE HOUSE). Here are a few shots of nick and I–sorry about the poor image
quality, but the lighting was beyond bad. I have another 2 weeks here,
then a few days at home, then on to Gauley. Clay is here to coach with
me for a week, which should be a blast!

PS The ropes at Lachine are gone now, which makes getting
back up to the platform a challenge. I actually had to swim after my boat
after losing my balance on the slippery rocks and falling over. Check-out
my cut-up foot from slipping on the rocks–ouch!
