Never leave the Lemon on the Nile! by Will Richardson | Jan 14, 2006 | Whitewater | 0 comments January 14, 2006 Week Three This has been a great week filled with trips to town, high water, and low water. Here are a few of the highlights. -Taxi to town to cash travelers checks- took four banks -Steak at Ozzies Café -Dawn Patrol to Nile Special Wave -Pull Up & Push Up contest between England & Me VS. Peter from Finland(Peter Won) -Crayons to the local kids & them showing me their drawings at the wave each day -Washing clothes in creek with the other workers from Hairy Lemon -Call from Mom and Dad -Megan being here and everyone thinking we are sisters -Nick Name for me “Back Surf Pants” -We ran the day two section with Megan, James, Claire, Jeremy, & me -Jackson will be here tonight The only real discomfort for me now are the titsy flies. I am getting eaten alive and it is driving me crazy. I have big red welts all over me. Even under my chin. I have at least 50 bites and they are raised and sore and about the size of quarters. I still wanted to shut my eyes on the shuttle ride. It was raining as I watched the huts without tin or concrete floors turn from red dust to red mud pits. This is the hardest part of being here. Cheers from the Hairy Lemon, an island in the middle of the mighty Nile- devo Devo, Billy & Carly Nile kids Meg & Devo Megan Peter & Claire Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
