Emily, Dane, and I all have production Ricochet’s now. The boat is
dialed in and I can’t be happier with the overall package. The design is
super fun, fast, and easy to paddle. The construction is beautiful and we
now have a winner. Mine has a custom graphics job with a couple of racing
stripes on the deck and some swirly action on the hull. White with orange,
cool. The Jackson family is on the road to California where we’ll get our
first full family race in them on Sunday at the Kern River Festival. Emily
and I raced in Alabama a few weeks ago in my final prototype, but this time
we each have our own boat cut to our own size. Dane is in his "cadet" cut
and he can squirt the boat on a draw stroke. Emily is in the "junior" cut
and I am in the Full cut. Colin from Valley Mill Boat Shop (once a place
where they manufactured slalom boats in the 90’s) will be getting the first
"Mega cut"

The following weekend we will be at the American Festival and there is a
slalom race there too, sweet!
