17 year old Team JK and 582 (beachburg, Ontario) paddler Nick Troutman sends in some sweet paddling eye candy! by Will Richardson | May 9, 2006 | Whitewater | 0 comments May 9, 2006 By Nick Troutman. Learn more about Nick. Photos Hey EJ, Here’s the latest update from the 582. Well for the past four days, I haven’t been doing much except eating, sleeping, and surfing buseater. That is actually true. I’ve been too sore when i get off the river to do anything. Landing flat all day hurts. Well when the word got out that mini-bus was in, well the herds came runnin’. There was everyone there from Tanya Faux and Anthony Yap, to Steve Fisher, to Ruth Gordon, and Tanya Shuman, to the YGP Crew, to some B.C. Boys, and obviously us locals. At some times there would be at least 15 people (or more) in the eddy. That doesn’t count the people on shore, and those taking photos and videos. The YGP Crew were getting some good footage, with everyone going OFF! They also had some pretty unique angles with their Red Bull jet-ski. The other photographers had to find different angles, like climbing a 20 foot tree for example. I am almost sure that the Big Gun Show will be won with the footage and photos from this weekend. Everyone was taking the sport to new levels, with big air, and new tricks. Rush and I ate is hard a couple times trying ‘back flips’. Through in doing so i got a really good back mystery flip. That’s a move worth working on for sure. There were also lost of combo’s. Most being bread and butters, but also some pretty big "biscuits and gravy". We would do 2-3 sessions a day. With each session being 2-4 hours long. This made for some sore evenings. In the end it was a great weekend, with great people, on a great wave. I hope you like the pictures. They are thanks to ‘Deuce’ and his tree climbing skills. Nick Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
