High-Water Gatineau High Tension by Will Richardson | Jul 24, 2006 | Whitewater | 0 comments By Stephen Wright. Learn more about Stephen. July 24, 2006 Some crazy amount of rain fell from the skies in northern Quebec to bring the Gatineau up to early spring levels this week. Jen, Nick, and I headed-up last sunday to enjoy HIGH TENSION, which feels like Corner Waves’ bigger, steeper brother. Apparently, the level was about as low as it could be for the wave to be good, so it was a bit harder to throw moves than at higher flows. The river run is big, never crowded, and only 2 hours from the ottawa. Enjoy the slam video (8.2 MB QuickTime) and the air-time video (8.7 MB).
