Valley Mill Kayak School is where I have hung my hat for the past 9 years since I closed my kayak school on the Potomac River (Adventure Schools) in 1997. Valley Mill Camp, a summer day camp that teaches about 400 kids per week how to kayak and climb and other fun stuff is also part of the legacy that is Valley Mill. Of course most of you know about Valley Mill Boat Shop, which has been Jackson Kayak’s biggest dealer for our first two years running and are in the running for a third year as well.

Sorry, back to the clinics:

I am teaching 4 clinics in two days. They will be broken into paddler levels. You can take one class or come to two classes over the weekend, it is up to you.

The courses will be a fun combination of:

“EJ’s Strokes and Concepts”
“EJ’s Rolling and Bracing”
“River Running”
“Playboating”

Each class is 3.5 hours long and will burn up any extra energy you might have. We will check water levels on Friday to determine just where we will paddle for each class. It doesn’t matter what your current skill level is, we’ll have a class for you. The class schedule is:

Saturday, July 7, 9am- 12:30pm and Saturday from 2-5:30pm

Sunday, July 8th, same schedule.
