What a big day it was for the Prelims for the Men’s and Women’s Pro classes. There were big upsets and some not so big surprises. The biggest upset of all was Bryan Kirk who was winning after the first two world cup events didn’t make the Semi-finals putting him out of the running for 1st place with a 17th place finish today. Also, Jay Kincaid, a strong man in a strong hole usually kills it in this hole, but not today as he flushed early on both rides getting 19th place. The weather and water were perfect again today, and the crowds were huge! Spectators from all over the place were on hand today for the prelims. I can’t even imagine what the scene will be like for finals tomorrow!

The event also went ahead of schedule thanks to a great group of judges, with Matt Solomon as chief Judge, and Kristine Jackson on scoring. Announcers today were Sharky from Canada, Pikey from England, Corey Volt from USA, and EJ from USA. Music selection today by New Zealander Sam Sutton, and Emily Jackson’s Ipod.

The scores and results are: Names in bold compete tomorrow in Semi-finals.
