EJ Training Log updated by Will Richardson | Mar 27, 2007 | Whitewater | 0 comments March 26, 2007 It is early in the morning and I am catching up after our big day yesterday. We checked out of NRE and took a taxi to Kalagala Falls where we put in to run the Day 2 section, and then had the taxi driver drop our bags at the Hairy Lemon. The run was fun, Kalagala was much higher making it a fun drop, but there was not any solid play at this level, other than a sweet lefty cartwheel hole. We got things organized at our banda at the Lemon at 3pm (missed lunch) and ate junk food to catch up. At 5 pm we hit the Nile Special at a great level! PM Training: My first two rides were “wow, this is easy!”. Definitely feel good rides. I don’t know what happened between the time I was here last week and now, but I am suddenly finding this “tricky” wave much easier and super fun. I was able to do good Flash backs, Helix, Flip Turns, HUGE back pan ams, Pan Ams, Clean blunts (right). I didn’t work on combos. I was very tired, and my body is definitely feeling worn down, on the verge of tendonitis in my shoulders, and arms, and my neck is still hurting. My ribs are sore but recovering. I left at 7pm (2 hours of paddling) and ate dinner and was in bed by 8:30pm, getting 10 hours of sleep! We got the electrical storm from hell last night! It lasted for two hours and the rain fell and thunder rocked the banda! It was awesome! March 27, 2007 World Championships on Club Wave and then Nile Special today!
