Mountain Buzz legend and JK fan, BSOE (Bastard Son of Elvis) paddles a Super Star when at home in Colorado, but for the next couple years, he is in Iraq. BSOE sent us these great pics of JK stickers in what I am sure are the most unique places ever for a kayak company. This guy is over there at a time when the water is at record levels in his home town back in the US. If you haven’t read his posts on the buzz, keep your eye open for them. They are usually some of the funniest most witty on the forum.

Words from BSOE,
I’m a dentist in an infantry brigade here in Baghdad. I take care of the soldiers, civilian contractors and Iraqi interpreters of two or three forward operating bases whenever they have a toothache, chip a tooth or lose a filling.
I’ve been kayaking for about six years, mostly in New England and Colorado, and I think Jackson kayaks are kickass. I’m pretty bummed about missing the spring runoff in Colorado but I miss my wife and my dog, Gizmo, even worse. I look forward to settling down and practicing in Gunnison, CO when I get home in 2008, where my wife will teach physiology at Western State.

These pics are of an old soviet tank here in Iraq…the vintage units that Iraqis used in desert storm and again when we rolled in here in 2003. It’s just sitting outside our hospital. If it ran it would make a pretty bitchin shuttle vehicle. It might be a little hard on gas but I doubt there would be any arguments about access. Dams might be less of a problem, too…plan your own release.
