Jake Measom, a high school guy from Utah, sends in this trip report to Tennessee by Will Richardson | May 29, 2007 | Whitewater | 1 comment By Jake Measom Hey EJ, I recently returned from a trip to tennessee, what a sweet place! Myself and fellow utah ripper Andy Thunnel went out to hit up the creeking ,but found the state in drought, so we hit up rock island for a few days and were by no means disappionted. Rock island was a super fun feature. Carmen and the other folks at the factory were very nice and helpful, hooking us up with boats for the week and giving us the beta on what was running. While there I was able to paddle the new super star, what a sick boat. I was very impressed, super loose making things like flashbacks a breeze, yet still able to egde super hard for blunts and such. I can’t wait to get mine, its going to rule on waves like lunch counter. While at rock island local josh brock was kind enough to take some pics for us, which were basically the only ones we got. We also hit up the legendary ocoee, it was a fun little run, but i’ve never seen so many rafts in my life. overall it was a great trip and i hope to make it back sometime. Right now i’ve got to go graduate from high school, its about time, and then head up to jackson for a little boating, hope to see you at OR this august. -Jake Measom 1 Comment shamster test on May 14, 2011 at 4:56 am Thanks for posting this great article!
