A great day in Golden

Sunday morning started like any other except that I was at my sister’s
house, I had a new lens to play with, and Black Dog was on the roof. I mean
literally on the roof of the house! There IS an explanation, but I won’t
get into the story in favor of brevity. After retrieving the dog from the
roof and having some coffee, I drove to Golden to meet Ruth and 6 students
for a 3 hour clinic. Jonathan from Confluence, our dealer in Golden/Denver,
set-up this class and it was a blast! We started-out in the pond next to
the river to dial-in some fundamental skills, then ventured-out into the
whitewater park to work surfing, spinning, cartwheels, blunts, and
loops…good stuff!

Over-all it was a great time and the good folks at Confluence are ON IT
with the new JK boats. Enjoy the photos! Big thanks to Klass, who shot all
of the kayaking photos during the clinic for us. Now it’s back in Salida,
having fun preparing for FiBark!
