FiBark Photos and Re-cap by Will Richardson | Jun 20, 2007 | Whitewater | 0 comments By Stephen Wright Photos Well, the 2007 FiBark festival was an amazing festival combining kayak boatercross, slolam races, downriver races, and freestyle in one of the best rivers in Colorado. The festival also stands-out with River Dog competitions, skate boarding events, live music, and the infamous HOOLIGAN RACE–where competitors in un-seaworthy and home made crafts "race" through the competition hole and whitewater park. This is always one of my favorite events of the year to compete-in because it’s the best hole around. Scores were high, competitors had a blast, and the crowd went wild! After the event, I had the opportunity to run the Brown’s Canyon section of the Arkansas with Jason and LindZ Craig, Matt, Morgan, Jessica, and Dane. I had never run this section before and was BLOWN AWAY by how beautiful this place was! PLUS we found an incredible wave at Canyon Doors, that kept us surfing for about an hour. Enjoy all the photos! Now it’s the long drive east to the Ottawa, where I’ll spend my summer coaching the Keener Program.
