Surfing Alert in Riggins, Idaho

The surfing is getting really good in Riggins, Idaho at Cat’s Paw. I surfed there yesterday and there were three waves. One was perfect for the Reaction Surf Kayak, one for creek boat surfing, and one was just right for the Star.

Here is the link for the Salmon River. It is at 2800 right now and if it drops to 2500 the bottom Cat’s Paw wave will turn into Cat’s Claw. The best looping hole on the Salmon.

I am sending this from Salmon Rapids Lodge located 4 miles downstream from this wave. It has a great hot tub and is even dog friendly. Here is a link to the hotel.

Water Levels
