Chris Korbulic and I still had two more days before our flight after the rest of the crew flew out from Newfoundland. It was raining on the west coast so we booked it over there and got in two great days on the river with Chris Buchanan and Dave MacDonald. The first day was on Bull Bay Brook, a small little creek with some fun drops.

The next day we hiked into , where Chris and Dave had scouted a waterfall before but weren’t quite sure if it went. After hiking in through a tuckamore for an hour and a half we were there, and then spent about fifteen minutes scouting the waterfall. It had flakes and ledges all over, but eventually we picked a line that looked pretty clean. It looked like you might bump a rock or two on the way down, then melt into the fold and go deep. We were all stoked on this one and ended up running it. I love the Rocker on these drops, it floats high so I didn’t bump any rocks on the way down, and melting in deep at the bottom it resurfaced upright with nice downstream momentum. Chris had the same results and was stoked. I love a boat that resurfaces perfectly from a forty footer!
