The Ladies of Team JK make the world a better place! by Will Richardson | Dec 1, 2007 | Whitewater | 0 comments Photos If you aren’t friends with any of the wonderful ladies that make up Team JK, you are missing out, big time. You may have heard the stories, or seen them in action from a distance, but to know them is to truly know what an impact they make on the world of paddling, and the world in general. From Jessie Stone’s Soft Power Health in Uganda, saving lives by the thousands with Education, prevention, and treatment of malaria, as well as other common diseases there, to Devon Barker’s Dare program in Idaho. From teaching kids, to building schools, volunteering in more programs than you can count, the team is like the red cross of paddling. I have assembled a collage of photos of the ladies in action and off the water so you can recognize them when you see them at the put-in. I won’t even mention their paddling accomplishments, because you can just go with “Best on the water, in just about any category” and that would suffice, since we are talking world champions (three of those), and other top of the class type of accolades. Yes, I am very proud of our team, and today, I want you to know our ladies.
