A North Fork of the Payette Hero Review…Awesome!

Hi EJ,
I just wanted to drop a quick note to say how awesome the Hero is. So far I have been able to paddle the Hero on the lower 5 miles of the North Fork Payette as well as a micro creek in the desert, Succor Creek. This is truly a do it all boat! The Hero handles the funky cross currents and big hits that the North Fork is known for with confidence inspiring stability. The edges on this boat really help to drive it over funky water without feeling trippy. On the creek, the ease of boofing and volume kept me on top of the water where I wanted to be. I should also mention that I spent maybe five minutes setting up the stock outfitting and it fits better than boats I invested hours and dollars into outfitting. Give my regards to Dave Knight, this boat is a winner.

P.S. I am over in Hood River, OR now, so we’ll see how she handles waterfalls soon enough 🙂
