Finally, you can compete in a Fun, Friendly, Local kayak competition! The World Kayak “Hometown Throwdown” series is spread across 11 regions of North America, and coming to the rest of the world in 2009. Each of these regions is holding 5 events, one per month, for five months!
Sponsors have already kicked in great product from Smith, Mion, Red Bull, IR, and Jackson Kayak, and benefiting American Whitewater.
You can register for events in any region, and compete in one, or all of them, for free! Registration is quick and easy. If you already have a blog set up on Worldkayakblogs, it is as easy as picking your event and “bam” you are signed up, no forms, no money, no hassle! If you don’t have a blog set up, you’ll fill out your information, choose your event, and then decide if you want to add a blog while you are at it. Easy, fun, and worth it!
Become a part of history! With the addition of 62 brand new kayaking events in North America alone, this movement is perhaps the biggest single growth phase of freestyle ever! The focus being on local boaters, not pros, means that you will be competing for the locals cup!
