Summer Demo Clearance Sale! by Will Richardson | Jun 27, 2008 | Heros, Kid's Kayaks, Rockers, Whitewater | 6 comments So you want a brand new Jackson Kayak this summer but want to pinch some pennies and use that savings for gas? We have an option for you! In our 2008 “Quality First Program” we turned a higher percentage of boats that would have been first quality in 2007 into Demos in 2008. The result is that we have too many demo boats in stock at the factory. We are creating a win/win situation for everyone. These “demos” are cosmetic blems, meaning that they are structurally sound, but have any one or a variety of “birth marks”. Graphics that are torn or not complete, coin sized shallow divots (“coining”), scratches or small gouges, etc.. are the types of things that you will see. You save $100 dollars and we find a home for a great boat with a birth mark on it. We only have a limited number of these boats in a limited number of colors and models. So, for example if you want a Green Fun, we have 25 of them. If you want a pink Fun we don’t have any, sorry. We will keep an inventory list on the website so there is no question about what boats you can get. The boats will be purchased at your local dealer. This is not a factory direct sale, we are making the boats available to your dealer, but you can choose your boats on our website and then call your dealer to order it! Your next steps? 1. Find out if we have a boat you want. 2. Call your dealer to order the boat. 3. Save $100 dollars 4. We’ll ship your boat out in a day or two after it is ordered to your dealer. 5. Paddle the boat and have fun!!! Here are some photos of Demo boats- yes, the entire Jackson family paddles demos, as well as all of Team JK! I included one photo of each model, The Hero series, the Star series, the Rocker Series, and the Fun series. Well, I had to put a photo of my daughter in, so two of the Star series… Here is what is available today: Fun 1 Black Fun 1.5 Pink 2 Fun Green Orange Fun Green Orange Red Yellow 4 Fun Black Green Orange Yellow Super Fun Green Yellow Punk Rocker Green Orange Purple Mega Rocker Orange Shooting Star Green Orange Purple Yellow Star Black Orange Yellow Super Star Green Orange Classic Fun Yellow Pink Classic Super Fun Red Yellow Sidekick Black Green Orange Purple Red Yellow Super Hero Green Orange Purple Red Yellow Applies to US & Canada only 6 Comments dana on July 22, 2010 at 4:23 pm where can i find paddler weight ranges for classic fun series boats? Reply Richard Johnson on February 27, 2012 at 9:14 pm This article is a bit dated. Do you have any “blemished” or factory seconds for sale? I am interested in a Riviera. I live in Shreveport, Louisiana. What is the closest dealer to Shreveport (71104 zip code)? If you do sell rejects could you provide information on how I could abtain a Rivirea? Thank you. Reply Clay Wright on February 28, 2012 at 2:18 pm Hey Richard – That is an old article! When we have ‘sales’ like that we announce them as we don’t actually sell kayaks from our TN manufacturing plant normally. As for dealers, there is a ”dealer locater’ right on the home-page, just type in your state and you’ll see where our dealers live and can plan the one you want to visit based on places you want to go rather than what’s closest, which is all I can do for you. The Riviera would be an excellent boat for the swamps and shallows down there and would make for some great exploring. Good luck! Clay Wright Reply vicky on April 9, 2012 at 5:44 am Hi I am interested in a jackson 2 fun, how much are you selling it for if you have any? Reply Clay Wright on April 11, 2012 at 5:02 am That was from August.. of 2008, sorry! We don’t normally sell direct, that was a special. Clay Reply Jim Bethke on January 18, 2014 at 5:15 pm I’m just starting in to white water kayaking and took my first lessens a few weeks ago with Ben Kvanli (Olympic Training Center San Marus TX ). Ben sugested that i should start with the Jackson super Fun, do you agree? or is there something better for a beginner who loves the white water not the flat waste.
