We were all exhausted after getting off the epic Lower North Fork San Joaquin, and the next morning weighed our options, and Chris & Chris headed to the famous Upper Cherry Creek. Ben and I decided to stick it out in hopes that flows would stay perfect for the . After a ten mile hike, we were plenty excited to see the perfect flow level, and dropped into the crystal clear waters around noon. What followed is soon to become one of California’s classic multi-day runs. Many clean slides and falls, majestic scenery, minimal portages, good camping, and on day two, a nearly perfect sixty to seventy footer, it doesn’t get much better than this run! I’ll let the pictures talk about this beautiful piece of river.
