Winter in Reno by Will Richardson | Dec 18, 2008 | Whitewater | 0 comments Photos By Ruth Gordon It’s been unseasonably cold and snowy in Reno, NV these days: at least that is what I’m told. Compared to the Canadian winters I’ve experienced, this is a walk in the park. However, in the deep freeze of a good Canadian winter it’s VERY difficult to be paddling. And here in Reno paddling is still at your doorstep. Yesterday I joined Jason Craig, Tanya Faux and Jessica Yurtinus for a session at the Reno WW park. The snow lined shores and ice covered rocks made the sunny day even more electric. Donning proper gear, I think I speak on behalf of the entire team when I say it was surprisingly warm. Big thanks to Toby for taking the photos! And to Karen for being a great kayak mom! Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
