My good friend Marc Goddard and I had the pleasure of hooking up with Stephen Wright and Jason Craig today for a run down the Hwy 49 to Bridgeport section on the South Fork of the Yuba. When we met them at the put in I saw only one very long boat, the Dynamic Duo. I asked them if they were going to take The Dynamic Duo on our trip only to have Stephen answer me with a “heck yes we are”, I was stoked. I have seen it in use before and needless to say I was very impressed.

The day could not have been more inviting for a paddle. The sun was shining, the temperature was perfect and the flow was a comfortable 600 cfs. We put on with some boys from Canada and Idaho and had a blast. After working our way down some fun warm up rapids we made quick work of the manky portage before heading into the main section of the run.

This is a great river for reading and running, it has a lot of long rapids that can test your reaction times with numerous holes and reaction waves. One of the best features of this section is and the amount of boofs that are on this run, it is simply awesome, everywhere you look there is another rock to launch off of.

As you can see by the photos the Dynamic Duo (both the boat and Stephen and Jason) Hit the Boofs perfectly. The boat just continues to drive up the rocks until it is totally air born and taking flight. Waiting for the Duo to land takes some time but once down the smiles are ear to ear.

The Dynamic Duo is the perfect boat for two person fun, fast, stable and ready to launch at any time. Check it out the next time a friend is in town and wants to paddle!
