Home Town Throw Down

Today I competed in my first Hometown Throwdown at hole 3 on the Truckee River in Reno, NV. We had 22 paddlers show up including 5 women and 1 junior, me! It was super fun to watch everyone compete and have a good time. I placed first in the juniors because I was the only one, but I was 3rd overall in the women’s competition. Ruth Gordon has been working with me a lot on my spins and hole surfing so I felt really comfortable during the competition. Hopefully I have cartwheels and a loop in time for the Reno River Festival in May. Here is a link to the write up on Worldkayak.com, along with several photos of the throwdown.
