My Road to Worlds 2011 so far has been full of adventure, travels and new friends. I left me home country to embark on an opportunity of a lifetime and train for worlds.
My dream began after I left the World Cup last year with a medal, a new boat and hope to push myself further!
With my place set on the New Zealand team I headed off overseas.
I am currently attending New River Academy who have taken me to Uganda where i was training in my STAR on Nile Special and Clubwave most days, otherwise i was at Bujagali and running the Silverback section which is now gone. I was among the last descent of the incredible section that i will never forget. Since leaving Uganda i have been in the United States in Montana and West Virginia training on the New River and Dries waves. Next week we move on to North Carolina and will be training at NOC followed up by the NOC Shootout.
I am currently a member of the Jackson Kayak regional team and with my new rockstar on its way I will be pushing myself even harder!
Germany, I can’t wait!
Watch out world’s…New Zealand’s on their way!
