I arrived in the UK two days ago with the aim of training my freestyle skills for the Worlds, which gets closer and closer.

After a short session on Boulters after arriving in UK and a good session on the Nottingham Course, today the Burners, some Spanish paddlers and me, have hit the mighty Nene course where a Youth Freestyle Competition was held.

After some training on the weird hole and competing in the flatwater contest the competition started with the Junior ladies, where Nuria, my sister placed first with only 14 years and showing solid cartwheels.

After the Junior ladies came the Junior men where the whole English team who is going to the Worlds in Plattling was competing.

After hitting several solid rides I ended 1st in my first competition in UK, I’m really proud of what has been going on during the day at the Nene and the way I performed.

After the competition we have all had a mental rehersal session with Jacko Jackson and some video analysis.

We’re leaving to Nottingham in a few hours so I’ll better go to bed to be ready for the huge amount of stuff that’s waiting for me this week.
