With my brother getting married in less than a month, it was time for a goodbye-bachelor float trip. We headed up to the TN river in north alabama to float fish some feeder streams for smallmouth. The water was pretty chilly and so was the morning air temps, but we still landed a few nice ones as the day went on.

I was particularly excited about trying my Coosa out on the shoal/rapid areas. As expected, it handled the few mild whitewater sections fine even in the high-seat position. I didn’t press my luck and try to stand but with summer quickly approaching, that will definitely be an upcoming goal.
