After the big trick contest we started our trip north. Though we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to surf the epic wave in Ottawa called ‘Ruins.’

It was a tricky wave to catch, and if you missed a tight eddy below to bridge pylon it was a 10 minute walk back up, but once you were on the wave, WOW.

The levels were high making the wave super green and steep, and epic for air time. Here are a couple photos from the day showing only some of the air we were able to get.
