California creek boating in the villain and hero kayaks

Well, hopefully this is not going to be the entire season of California… with the Sierra Nevada ranging from 28-35% of normal snow pack for this time of the year, it is safe to say we are all getting nervous. But it was with this lack of options in Cali, that I chose to mix some business with pleasure a week ago and combined a business trip to Huntsville Alabama with some boating. A big thanks to Rucker and Phillip for letting me crash at their place as well as David and Kat Levitt for letting me borrow a boat. at the end of the 3 days of boating, I had spent less than a hundred dollars on gas (and beer) and had managed to boat three days in three states that are 2,300 miles away from home. Not bad! Included on the brief tour were Little River in Alabama, Rock Creek in Georgia, and Cain Creek / North Chick in Tennessee. Now I am back home and waiting for the next storm… aparently there is a chance for some rain in the next 10 days though it isn’t projected to be significant enough to help us out of this boating situation we are in this year…
