The Boise Whitewater Park by alecvoorhees | Mar 1, 2012 | Rockstar, Whitewater | 4 comments After many long years of fundraising, building, and waiting the Boise Whitewater Park is complete in the Boise River. It is not yet open to the public due mainly because the city has not obtained a policy for the park. It is built with the “bladders” which can be filled with air to give many variations for the feature. The park brought in many paddlers from Boise to test the park and find the best combination of settings. I have paddled in the park two times. Once at 270cfs and another at 850cfs. It will definetly take time to get the optimum flow and settings to have a world class wave, but I think it will be awesome! Here are a few pictures of the park at 270cfs and 850cfs. Make sure to put Boise on your next trip! You won’t be dissappointed. 4 Comments Micah Kneidl on March 1, 2012 at 2:01 am Hey Alec! Tomas called me last week before he got in to surf to say you just threw a huge space godzilla and that I needed to get down there. Well I made it on Saturday and had a great time surfing a pretty great wave at 850 cfs. Looking forward to some freestyle with you this season! -Micah Reply Mike on March 9, 2012 at 8:08 pm The flows on the river are increasing. A bunch of paddlers where out yesterday at 1300 cfs and the river is at 1650 cfs today.
