After many long years of fundraising, building, and waiting the Boise Whitewater Park is complete in the Boise River. It is not yet open to the public due mainly because the city has not obtained a policy for the park. It is built with the “bladders” which can be filled with air to give many variations for the feature. The park brought in many paddlers from Boise to test the park and find the best combination of settings. I have paddled in the park two times. Once at 270cfs and another at 850cfs. It will definetly take time to get the optimum flow and settings to have a world class wave, but I think it will be awesome!

Here are a few pictures of the park at 270cfs and 850cfs. Make sure to put Boise on your next trip! You won’t be dissappointed.
