The Big One

I LOVE MY JOURNEY! I’ll paddle my Journey almost anywhere in (almost) any conditions, day or night. The photo was taken while paddling 6-8 foot seas on the Pacific Ocean in Ventura County, CA. Carefully scanning the horizon, I noticed something big heading my way. After quickly deciding it wasn’t Nessie, a deep-ocean dwelling squid or a Humuhumunukunukuapua’a, I paddled closer. Much to my delight, I found myself getting ready to paddle over a 10 foot swell. Not a problem. My Journey went right over the top with little to no effort. It was a good day! Heading back to the inlet was just as much fun, watching the mountains disappear below the wave crest. Paddling my Journey has always been quite an adventure. The Journey never ends! =)
