Spring in the Idaho desert has been fantastic. I have paddle on the Owyhee and the Bruneau. Check out http://vimeo.com/user4939614/videos for video footage of the Zen as a self-support kayak on my Lower Owyhee trip. I was able to fit everything I needed to overnight in my Zen 65.

In addition, I spent last weekend paddling the Bruneau River. I’ll have more video footage from my Go Pro soon. It was pretty exciting as I had to make a spray skirt for a friend who forgot their skirt after hiking into the canyon. We used a NRS Bill’s bag to make the skirt, but more on that next time.

I will leave you with a little footage from the Little Salmon River. The Little Salmon River is my commute river as it flows from the school I teach in to my home in Riggins, Idaho. The river was running so fast you could hear the boulders tumbling underneath you as you were paddling! The speed of the Zen make it a perfect Little Salmon boat. You can find the footage on the same link as above.

Spring is here! Devon
