With each passing week this summer, the Boise Whitewater Park has increased in both traffic and popularity. Every water craft imaginable has been showing up, but it has been most popular with kayakers, surfers, stand-up paddleboarders, and boogie boarders. Mid-summer flows fluctuate around 1000cfs creating a medium size wave that is forgiving enough for intermediates but fun enough for experts. At this point in the season, it’s safe to say the whitewater park is a success!

Fires have been burning along our beloved Payette Rivers, and as the highway (and river) was closed this past Friday, much of the staff of Cascade Raft and Kayak went down to play at the wave in Boise. The video below was shot with a GoPro Hero2 attached to a pole. We took just a few rides and the result is a fun video of Jeremy Shoemaker and I thoroughly enjoying ourselves!

The Rock Star performs awesome on this feature. But rumor of even more speed in the 2013 All-Star means I’m really excited to try it here. It might just unleash a couple of new moves!

Hope you all are having a fun summer!
