Jackson Kayak Launches new Instructional Series Filmed on GoPro Cameras by ericjackson | Nov 30, 2012 | JK Team Posts, JK University, the teacher, Whitewater | 4 comments POV cameras are the perfect way to get up close and personal for filming instructional videos. Now that all Jackson Kayak boats have GoPro mounts on them, we want to take advantage of this and get a new perspective on instruction, really getting the student in the action. Team JK for whitewater, fishing, and SUP are well versed in both filming and editing videos, as well as experts in their field. This makes for a perfect situation for us to deliver top quality instructional short films. Our intention is to have Jackson University be filled with “how to” videos on a variety of important subjects. I tried my hand at filming and editing my first one two days ago. This one is an advanced playboating instructional on the Macho Move. My next project is the forward stroke. Dane is filming in Chile as he does the Grand Prix and I am sure he can do an instructional on backwards paddling, or something out of the ordinary like that. 🙂 Meanwhile- here is my first installment: HOW TO MACHO MOVE! Do you guys use the stock GoPro adhesive helmet mounts, or some other way to securely affix the mount to a helmet? I want to mount to Zamp racing helmets, or for kayaking a WRSI Moment FF and a Sweet Strutter. Thanks! The Levitator will be used for another project (not on karts).
