Durango Whitewater Park by Greg Parker | Jun 2, 2017 | 2016 Rock Star Competition, Playboating, rivers, Video, Whitewater, WW Disciplines | 1 comment Last year, the city of Durango had to repair a pipe under the river. The backhoe operator was a kayaker and slipped a few rocks into a strategic location while repairing the riverbed. I had the pleasure of visiting this new world class feature dubbed the 29th Street hole at the perfect level of 1800 CFS. If holes aren’t your thing, visit around 2500+ CFS for a world class wave called Smelters. Hope to see you there. 1 Comment Ian on May 17, 2020 at 9:49 am Just made it down there yesterday from Moab and this video was a main reason. 29th st at 1800cfs ???????????? What an amazing feature!
