A Salmon River Sonnet by Kat and David Levitt | Sep 1, 2020 | Blogroll, Featured Post, JAdventures Main Banner, Nirvana, Rock Star, Rockstar 4.0, Whitewater | 2 comments A Salmon River Sonnet Carving turns and spinning fast; Riding waters of canyons passed. Mighty river flows miles on down; Before it ever finds a town. Polished rocks and sparkling sand; Reappears when we re-band. Friends unite year after year; Making memories we hold dear. Deep Salmon canyon, walls so high; Draining land that it goes by. Wildest country, never tamed; Nothing ruined, no one blamed. Bighorn sheep keep watchful eye; When surfing stops we say goodbye! Dedicated to Matt Elam and all our friends who are part of the Salmon River Gang. Surfing the waves of the Salmon River has become a family tradition for us and many other friends that we meet annually. We look forward to sharing the eddies, beaches, berry picking patches and South Salmon shuttle rides with these wonderful friends each and every season that we can make it. This year was a time to reflect upon our many memories and fortunately we made some new ones! 2 Comments Devon Barker on September 7, 2020 at 9:16 am It was so wonderful having you along the Salmon River this summer.
