Recently the Elite Kayak Fishing crew went down to Three Belles Outfitters in Niantic, Connecticut, to begin rigging Jackson Kayak Fishing Team member Ken Wood’s 2023 tournament kayak: the Jackson Kayak Knarr FD. This was more of an exploratory session to figure out the best way to rig everything, brainstorm ideas with rigging extraordinaire Ted Douglas, and try out different equipment and accessories. The final setup will be revealed in the second part of the series. Stay tuned! Ken Wood has been competing in kayak bass fishing tournaments for sixteen years. He is the founder of Massachusetts Kayak Bassin’, as well as the co-founder of the Elite Kayak Fishing tournament series.
