Potomac River Play Boating

The Potomac River in Maryland offers year round paddling. It is a natural flow river that has a large variance in flow depending on rainfall and time of year. No matter how low it gets you can always paddle. The medium to high flows offer a range of different play spots. And during the summer months the water is very warm. I grew up paddling on the Potomac and it always holds a special place in my heart.

Here is a video of some surfing from a couple features near Harpers Ferry this year. It’s just a small sampling. I will try to capture more different features this coming year.
