Home Water: Iowa

I spent the majority of 2024 around home. The water window this year was brief. Levels fluctuated drastically with large rain events. Charles City saw near record high water for 3 days, prompting sandbagging and moving to higher ground. Even though there were windows of water, low water permeated a majority of the 2024 season. I was able to make the most of it though!
I playboated.
I surfed.
I sliced.
I chased trout with a tenkara rod.
I made a few laps down the Peshtigo.
I got to see the Big Boy train from the best seat in the house…the river!
