Jackson Kayak’s Kids Teaching Kids Pt 1 Hand Rolling Made Easy

Jackson Kayak’s series on Kids Teaching Kids kayaking fundamentals.  So often, kids are intimidated by cold, sounds, texture, and a desire to please that they fall into the trap of not wanting to try.  When kids show other kids how easy skills and techniques are, even the most timid kayaker is willing to try.

We start Part 1 of the Kids Teaching Kids Video Series with Emily teaching you how to hand roll.  Emily struggled with using a paddle to roll.  As we were going over the techniques, she dropped her paddle and flung her arm up trying to roll.  Instant hand roll!  So- with a few more minutes of practice, she was off down the river with confidence she has never had before.
