I finally had the opportunity to run this S.E. classic creek with friends today. Big rains on New Year’s Eve brought up almost everything in the area–the perfect time to paddle our new river running creek boat! The 2011 Hero is now in production! Dane has one in Mexico and we took the remaining 4 production ones to paddle North Chick today. It’s a short, sweet, sporty, surprisingly fast, boofalicious boat!
Enjoy the photos of Jessica, Emily, Clay, and EJ. I only shot photos in a few rapids: Mandatory Portage, Drainpipe, and Chick Falls.

Great weather, water, creek, family, and friends!
Great day,

Love that new Hero – so easy to paddle but sporty like a the old Micro 230 felt in the air. You lose the ‘hole bait’ feeling so many short boats succumb to because the planing surface is wide and the rocker slow and smooth towards the back. Had a blast punching every hole I could find and spinning the rocks along the way.

Stephen, I just noticed your new profile… does it say 2nd place for the 1st ever smelliest object competition on the Hairy Lemon, who got first!? HAHA, have fun boys!
That cheating, rotten Billy Harris! He talked a big game about his stuff and his wife’s stuff packing a stink knock-out punch. Then when the time came, none of it was good enough to beat my disgusting shoes. SO he took an old sock and covered it with termite poison that he borrowed from the Island’s staff. My stink as natural and I worked hard for it. He just took some poison and the Glory! Dirty Billy…..
