Low Water Big South by Riley Frank | Jul 20, 2018 | Antix, Creeking, rivers, Video, Whitewater, WW Disciplines | 0 comments July 1st typically opens the gate to Long Draw Road, the main entrance to the Big South. Due to low snow pack the water was already half as low as any flow I had previously run it at. Bar Room Brawl had wood in it that was right in the main line and Fantasy Flight looked like a death trap on both sides from not being filled in enough. Despite low flows, everything ran smoothly and no one got pinned at pincushion. Cool World and Double trouble were bigger than normal, what with lower pools and all, and Slideways had some wood in the main bottom channel so we had to run a smaller side channel. It was a fun run but could definitely have used some more water. I didn’t have much footage, but I made a quick edit from our lap, enjoy.
