It was the tenth edition of the extreme kayak race in northern Italy. Over 150 people are fighting for the title King and Queen of the Alps. The event started on Friday with a BBQ, some games and a bonfire come together. On Saturday morning, the athletes have to do the famous mass start qualification. Over 100 people on a 20 cumecs (700 cfs) river is obviously getting super rowdy and hectic. The first 50 places qualify for the semi finals up in Moos. The course for the semi finals and finals is short but intense. It starts with a continous class IV boogie and finishes in a giant slide that shoots you into the intimidator rapid, a technical class V rapid with a sidecreek waterfall landing on your head. The fastest 16 of the semi finals get to the finals, which is on the same course. It is only one run and the fastest time counts. After that the event finishes off with the price giving and a great party.
