Whistler Triple Crown by eliottbertz | Dec 14, 2022 | Creeking, Event Coverage, Events, Featured Post, jacksonkayak.com, JAdventures Main Banner, River Running, Whitewater, Whitewater Feature, WW Disciplines | 0 comments Whistler, Canada is known worldwide as an epicenter for outdoor sports and kayaking ranks high in this regional assemblage of thrill seeking activities. To kayakers, a Whistler Triple Crown means a run down 3 sections of classic whitewater just outside of Whistler in one day: Callaghan Creek, the Upper Cheakamus River, and the Soo River. Saying they are all in close proximity doesn’t quite due the Whistler geography justice. The takeouts of the Upper Cheakamus and Callaghan Rivers are quite literally next to each other with the Soo just a short drive away. All of these ultra-classics in one day offers a spectacular mix of whitewater. Callaghans is full of clean waterfalls and boulder gardens while the Upper Cheakamus and Soo both offer continuous river running. I’d highly recommend adding the Whistler Triple Crown to your paddling bucket list. Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
