Antix Love by crystalgustin | Aug 1, 2017 | Antix, Creeking, Internationalisation, Reviews, United States, Video, Whitewater, WW Disciplines | 0 comments For some, it might be hard to trust a review by a team member. I get it. I can wholeheartedly tell you that I love the Antix but probably not for the reasons that first spring to mind. When this boat was in the works, far before production, I was so excited to have the opportunity to learn this style of getting recklessly vertical. Fast forward to the Antix being shipped, I realized that at my size, and not knowing this style, the medium was a bit big to learn instantly how to get vertical. However, the first time I took this boat out, I instantly fell in love with how extremely well it boofed. Living in the southeast, we aren’t exactly known for big water runs and the first time in the medium Antix was on a larger volume river for us so I was nervous as to how the stern would react. To my surprise, I felt extremely stable. I didn’t want to be without this boat for the entire summer and my intention was to sell the medium when the small came out. As it turns out, it is hard to get me out of this boat. The small is out and I have no intention of selling the medium. The maneuverability comes with extreme ease, eddies are easy to get in and out of, and the boofing is out of this world. I can lean hard (almost ear dip) and pull a big stroke and launch this boat and it puts the biggest smile on my face every time. This boat has become my main creek boat for the summer. I feel good in class V and playing around on the rocks makes everything exciting for me, even class II. I am still learning to get it recklessly vertical but I am okay with that. If you haven’t tried this boat yet, get out there and give it a go. (For reference, I am 5’3″ and 120 lbs) Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
