Shred For The South Salmon

The highlight of my paddling season was over Memorial Day weekend when I joined a group and spent a few days traveling through the South Fork of the Salmon River canyon at high water.   The trip started off with a night in Yellowpine, an awesome mountain town in rural Idaho and home of the East Fork of the South Fork Salmon River.   Upstream of town, a mining claim puts this drainage at risk of unthinkable environmental damage.   I was lucky enough to join Hayden Voorhees and eight others on a trip that was to bring awareness to this amazing river and the threats it is currently facing.   Here is an awesome video by Andrew Dunning highlighting some of the moments of our trip.
