Hi EJ,

Well I’m back here in Australia and back to work. The weather here has been a little chaotic to say the least, a 40 degree Celsius weekend (104 Fahrenheit) followed by an 11 degree weekend (51 Fahrenheit). The Jackson Kayak Rocker has hit Australia and is turning some heads. Ben, a good friend of mine from Wavemonkey bought the first one and as soon as he took it out on the water the questions started flowing. Everyone wanted to demo it and see what was inside. Fraser, a Penrith whitewater instructor got the Rocker boofing like a champion, boofing all the bollards he could find. Such a great boat that is comfortable, and amazingly light.

Currently there is hardly any water around the currently due to a ridiculous drought Australia is experiencing. So much so that outdoor groups are flying to Sydney from all over the country to use the Penrith Whitewater Stadium as their training grounds.

As you can see from the pics, we are back to the normal chaos of lots of swimmers about the course but more importantly a stack of enjoyment. Next week is the annual concrete classic that Entropy Gear (Jackson Kayak Australia) is getting behind, with some great prizes that could be won. This will include a freestyle comp, a no deck race and boatercross. Stay tuned for an update on this event.

Keep on boating.
