Gauly Fest + Nationals

Tomorrow morning I leave for Gauly festival and Nationals. It should be great, I am looking forward to the Gauly River and The Wisp Whitewater Park ( Where Nationals Is). I have missed the Gauly, it is medium water, nice and warm, a ton of sweet playspots, and my second favorite part of being there is the afterparty on Saturday. The kayaking is my favorite part. The hike out of the Upper Gauly is steep and tiring, but every year since my first time down in 2003, I never have taken my boat of my shoulder from the water to the car. I shall do the same thing this year. The Wisp Whitewater Park is really fun, I went there on my birthday with Jason Craig and Jez Blanchard. It is a lot deeper than Charlotte whitewater course, it has a bunch of really fun playspots, and it is warm. It will be a great event.
